I arrived to the classroom at 6:20, and just one
student was there, so I started writing the objective, the agenda; also, I
pasted some pictures around the classroom. When it was time to start the class,
I was ready, and most of the students were there, but the teacher asked me to
start at 6:50, so I did it. I greeted the students, and they were nice; then, I
explained them that we were going to pay the hot marker; in the game, I gave
them three markers of different colors, and they had to pass them to each other,
and when I said stop I mentioned a specific color, so the student who got the
marker had to answer one question ( the questions were reading to the topic and
some tongue twister, also. Of course I included some candies). They liked the
activity, and most of the time, they were asking for candies.
As they were stood up, I explained them the next activity, which was a gallery walk; I made the trios, and they were talking about the
pictures. As the topic was about superstitions, I pasted some pictures
regarding the legends of our country, and the one that they liked most was the
cipitio.
After this activity, I developed a chain drill; to finish with this activity,
I asked some students to share what they had talk with their classmates. Then, I
asked them to go to page 51 of the book in order to read a large list of
superstitions; when they finished, I asked some questions; also, they shared
about superstitions that they knew. Then, as I learnt in the workshop that we
have to include arte in the classroom, I asked them to draw about one
superstition that they had heard, and when they finished, I asked them to show
us and explain it; some of the students had made very nice drawings. To finish
the class, I asked them to read in the book about four superstitious people;
then, I asked them what they thought about those people, also, I asked them if
they were superstitious people, and they said no.

Marvin I can say that you did a great job. I really liked that you took into account what we learned in the workshop. Moreover, I can say that you had your students interact a lot, and that was great because we have to engage our students in what we are teaching. Congratulations because you are taking into account what a good class needs.
