The last practice

I arrived to the classroom at 6:20, and some students were already there, so I wrote the objective, the date and the agenda. When it was 6:50, I started the class; after greeting them, I said that it was my last class with them; then, I asked them to make a circle in order to develop the warm-up which was “ the handball”; they really had fun with this game; besides, the students, who were penalized, had to answer some questions regarding the previous class; some of them answered correctly while others answered wrong, but they participated.

After this activity I moved on to the practice phase because the teacher asked me to develop just practices because he had explained already the grammar, so I gave them the directions for developing an exercise which was fill in the blanks; I told them that they had 6 minutes to finish them, but actually they took around ten minutes to finish because some of the exercises were difficult; then, I checked them, and they just had trouble in some sentences.

Then, I asked them to go to the page 53 of their books in order to work in the grammar practice, and it was here that they worked so easily because they finished before the time that I gave them.

In the other activity, I provided them a sheet of paper with two boxes; in one box were some phrases that make non-count nouns countable, and in the other box were some nouns, so they had to write the correct phrase in order to make the non-count nouns countable; the students spent more than 8 minutes in this activity, and when they finished, I checked them so quickly because it was missing the activity to reach the goal in which one they had to create four sentences using some of the previous phrases. Finally, the time was enough to ask some students to share their sentences, and they were able to create the sentences perfectly.
